More Fun awaits in the Philippines

With the very enticing 7,107 islands, happiest and warmest  people, hospitability, good weather, best beaches and parks, enrich with culture and historical sites, mouth-watering and exotic delicacies, we can truly say that  It is MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES…

This is the new brand campaign that Secretary, Ramon Jimenez, Jr. of Department of Tourism launched to attract visitors to the country.

Though the agency’s new campaign is getting attention from Filipinos because of its similarity with a 1951 campaign by Switzerland entitled, “It’s More Fun in Switzerland”, the slogan has continued to receive its recognition throughout the world.

The DOT decided to hold off on branding and marketing strategies last year after the "Pilipinas Kay Ganda" campaign was scrapped due to a major industry outcry.

The slogan was also justified when the Puerto Princesa Underground River was officially confirmed as one of New7Wonders of Nature last January 28, 2012.

Some collection of slogans with the theme “More Fun in the Philippines”

Why It’s More Fun In the Philippines?

On the article on Inquirer Global Nation, it took some testimonials of some of our Fil-Am kababayans.

 Here are the some testimonials:

“It’s more fun in the Philippines because the people are honest and friendly. In general, they may be one of the poorest, but would give the shirt off their back to a complete stranger. That is true hospitality!” — David Kudransky, California

“It’s more fun in the Philippines [because] you get more bang for your bucks!” — Rapha Elle RN

“It’s more fun in the Philippines because of the good weather we have plus the beautiful beaches and warm welcoming faces of the Filipinos. I am from Quezon Province and I am very proud of our place, specifically Lucban. The famous Kamay ni Hesus and the Pahiyas ng Lucban are worth visiting. I am married to an American and he is decided to retire in the Philippines because of our warm climate.” — Helen Heidel, Kansas
